The 2004 Shore Team League came to an end on November 29th with the now traditional competition at Abbotsbury. The fishing was not as productive as last year, but some Channel Whiting showed amongst the Dogfish and Poor Cod.

On the night "The Codfathers" ie Mick Channon, Dave Lane, John Edwards and Josh Simmonds tied for top honours with "Kiss My Wrasse" ie Trad Casey, Mick Mills and Ian Hicks, both teams amassing 12 points, followed by "The Musketeers" ie Roy Groves, Ken Gowans, Phil Billings and Pete Hegg with 5 points.

League Champions for 2004, with 70 points are "The Musketeers" narrowly beating "Kiss My Wrasse" with 69 points into the runners-up position.

The award for the greatest number of species, with 13, goes to "The Musketeers"

The Bottom Award, for the team who tried hard, but didn't quite succeed, goes to "The Hairy Gurnards" ie Stuart White, Kevin Legg, Tom Tarrier and Andy Warwick.

The 2005 Team League starts again on Thursday 27th January at the Chesil Centre, fishing from 18.45

Anyone interested in forming a team of 3 plus 1 reserve, will be very welcome, the more teams entering, the more interesting the competition.
